reyvin 1. What is your most guilty pleasure?
Food. Right now anything not made of soy and/or splenda makes me feel guilty.
2. Have you ever seen someone die?
Yes. Three people, actually.
3. Are you confused as to what lies ahead of you?
Isn't everyone?
4. What was the last book you read for pleasure and would you recommend it?
I'm ALMOST done with Bel Canto, and yes, I would.
5. Name a personal hero.
My children. They teach me new things every day and have, quite honestly, brought me closer to God. Plus, they keep me honest by calling me on my hypocrisy. More politicians should hang around four-year-olds.
6. If a person you like doesn't feel the same way, would you continue to wait for them to change their feelings?
No. I'd accept them the way they are and still be their friend. Then I'd try to set them up with somebody.
7. If a person you secretly like is already attached, what would you do?
Move on, but glance back every now and again. Then, when they were free, I'd try to set them up with someone else. And maybe, just maybe, they'd decide they want to be with me instead. Then I would marry them. :-)
8. Is there anything that made you unhappy recently?
My friends' sadness is my sadness. You know who you are, and you must know I am always thinking of you, always praying for you, and I love you.
9. What do you want most in life?
To live long enough and be healthy enough to help my adult children (none of that teen pregnancy crap) raise their children.
10. Which of the Seven Deadly Sins do you relate most to and why?
Gluttony. Oh, yeah. Cookies. Potato chips. Alcohol of any kind. Taco Bell. Gluttony.
11. If you find out that your best friend is going out with your boy friend / girl friend, how would you react?
I'd be happy. I probably set them up.
12. Who is currently the most important person to you?
There isn't just one. There are three.
13. What kind of person do you think you are?
Entertaining bordering on annoying. And tired.
14. Do you believe there is nothing higher that human kind?
I think this questions means "THAN human kind," and if so, then no. I believe that above human kind there is God. Capital G. Whether it's the God of Abraham, Father/Son/Holy Spirit of Catholicism, Allah, The Force, or as a writer I like says "Good Orderly Direction," the power of the universe that helps you fulfill your dreams--I believe such a thing exists. I believe religion gives us the tool to access that force, which is so superior to us that we simply cannot fathom it, so religion gives us words, images, tropes that allow us to move closer to it. Though I don't believe that in this life I will ever truly understand it, I believe it exists. I have felt it. And I know that it is pure, eternal, undying love.
15. Who do you wish you could have just one more day to ask questions/learn things from?
My mother-in-law. Though I wouldn't always like the answers to the questions, there is a whole lot she could teach me.
16. Would you give your all in a relationship?
I do. Every day.
17. Do you have a motto? If yes, which one.
There's nothing like a smile to win an ally or disarm an enemy.
18. What type of friends do you like?
The ones that are my friends. If I don't like them, they're not my friends. Duh.
