Your inner dialog just summed up my social anxiety to a fucking t. wow! if he's rude enough to ask, you should be able to be rude in not answering lol fuck em if he cant take a joke. Does give one food for thought tho! why someone would go around poking "angry" people is also a good question lol
err... i thought you were someone else. think you made this one public by mistake? thats awkward. refriend? lol i never remove friends that removed me. #lessonlearned
Or projecting anger on people cause I wasn’t feeling particularly angry until after I walked away and had time to process. I’m sorry you go through this too but also, I’m not surprised it happens to other people.
Oh yeah, I've totally gotten this in the form of someone telling me I should smile, or I'd be prettier if I were smiling. Like, I would just not approach a total stranger and interrupt their whole day (I had headphones on too btw) to give my OPINION on their appearance. I can see asking me the time or for directions or something real, but this is just BS.
I basically LIVE to not hurt people's feelings, so when I get nervous around men I really am afraid that they will take it as a racial or class slight and be hurt by it. But I've been interrupted by men or followed or called a bitch for saying no enough times that I'm coming to be afraid of all unfamiliar men.
I'm glad I was never socialized to believe that a man is entitled to a smile from everybody he encounters, or that women are obligated to interact with me in any way.
What a bucket full of pressure to put on a person who is just trying to go through her day.

Heh, yikes, I’m glad I accidentally made this entry public instead of some other ones. No worries. Welcome back, friend! :)
