As usual, I've been up way too long and was going to sleep. Or at least try to sleep. I just had to watch, or really fast forward the latest ep of Glee. And it was so bad I had to write down some thoughts.
At first I thought it was a joke, surley Glee has gone downhill since the introduction of Blaine and and how they keep ignoring the stars they already have. Not even to mention the fact that what Shelby and Puck did would have her sent to jail, if it was the real world. And Quinn was the villain in that story arc? Will bullying Mercedes to lose weight and not being the least worried that she seams really sick? Aren't Will suppose to be the 'hero' of Glee? So...on to this weeks episode. The Christmas episode, a cornerstone in american television. And yes, Glee is a very american show and a family show to boot, so it has to bee cheesy. But does it have to be offensive as well? Just like last years train wreck, Rachel's one of the people most excited about celebrating it. Problem: Rachel's supose to be a proud Jewish girl. Okay if she likes the Holiday, but it feels very wrong for her to be the one advocating it. That New Directions would choose the TV performance and still make it to the last minuets of karma, was a given. After all, it's a family show so you have to follow the rules. The group gets ready to sing their final song, at the homeless shelter/ soup kitchen where hungry and needing people goes to eat. I have never been forced to eat at a soup kitchen but I guess that it's not something you do if you don't have to. On one hand there only is so many group numbers when it comes to Christmas songs, but who thought it was a good idea to let them sing 'Do They know It's Christmas?' Honest to frakkin Khali, someone please tell me who was the genius behind that master move. I can only hope it was a cool cryptic inside joke, because that was fucking offensive. Singing Feed them, to a group of hungry needing people on the day their need's probably at it's top. No fucking way could that be for real. Even *Fariytale of New York would have been a better choice. At least that's a good song and less offensive than the kids of Glee gloating about how the Feed people and letting them know it's Christmas.
The Glee when watching Glee is gone and no matter what the show does it's too late.
