Work: They’re actually taking one shackle off from the Client From Hell. *gasp* Basically meaning, as of 5pm yesterday I am no longer handling their claims cases. I’m only handling their surveillance cases. This is both good and bad, since for the past year+ the powers that be (namely those in the executive offices) have been promising that they would take me off the Client from Hell. So I guess this is a step in the right direction? I mean their surveillance cases suck muchas ass, but it’s still JUST surveillance. Unless of course Mr. Possibly fails at managing the claims section, which would probably mean I’ll get it again. Ugh. Mental note: ensure that Mr. Possibly succeeds in his endeavors. In return, I’m taking on a bunch of no-name clients, but at least their surveillance cases will be full 8 hour days. Yay
News: I’m not going to comment much on the passing of the Pope or Terri Schiavo. I’m one of the assholes who was glad to read that both of them went on to the other place. You can’t live forever, and why would you want to live in conditions like that? I’m not a Mom and I’m not a Christian, so my opinion is pretty much moot. I just think it’s kind of sadistic to keep people alive when it’s their time to go. It’s almost as if some people are so afraid of death (or maybe they’re afraid of their own grief?) that they insist on keeping others alive regardless of the amount of pain or suffering involved. I might be wrong on this, but I haven’t heard/read any argument to convince me otherwise.
Carnivale: I picked up the used copy of Season 1 based on a few recommendations. (Not to mention a sneak preview of episodes 1 and 2 from
moonfl0wer. ty!) It was pretty good. The last episode was especially intriguing. Cliff-hanging bastards! heh It had the guy from Twin Peaks (the little guy from the red room. aka, "the arm.") in it. I adore him. Also, the voice of “management” drove me crazy because it is soooo familiar. I *think* it’s the same chic who played “Vesta” in She-Devil and the principal in Kindergarten Cop. I adore her to pieces. She’s so unique looking. I’ll have to look into this to see if my hunch is correct.
Today: I think today is the day to reorganize the closet/bureau. Spring is definitely here so I guess it’s time to bring out the summer clothes. Pity, we really didn’t have much of a winter in NC this year.
