Today I finally got a lot accomplished. I went down to the accountant and got my taxes done, and I chose to have the money deposited directly into my account. This was the easiest way, so that I don't have to deal with waiting for the check to clear, plus, I'll get it as soon as next Friday. I love electronic filing! This money will, also, come in handy for the road trip, next month. (I can't fucking wait!!!!)
After going to the accountant, I decided to go to one of my favorite stores, "Trader Joes". I haven't been in that store for, literally, a couple of years, and I've been meaning to go back there for days now. They specialize in gourmet and some organic foods. I wound up buying a package of California Rolls, which I just ate a little while ago. Yummy!! Let's see, I also got a snack which will go well with tea or coffee; they're these cinnamon stick cookie things. (I don't know what to call them, exactly.) Anyway, I found quite a few, interesting things in that store, so, I definitely plan on going back there, real soon!
I went to see my Grandma, afterwards, since I haven't seen her in a few weeks. I was overdue to pay her a visit. I wound taking her food shopping, because, she was almost out of everything, and she's still hesitant about going on the bus to the supermarket. She had mentioned that she was going to ask my brother-in-law to take her shopping, but, since I know how busy he is, I offered to take her instead. I could tell she appreciated that! Besides, I figured she could use sometime out of the house, for a change; she's always couped up in her apartment. Between the market and being at her place, I must've spent about a total of two and a half hours with her, which was nice. I'm glad I got to spend time with her, even though I had to deal with her dementia and her false scenarios! She actually had me hide some of her groceries in her closet and her night table, because, she insists that someone will come into her room and steal her groceries. Unbelievable!! Oh well, I simply just took it with a grin and said "yes" to her profusely.
By the time I left Grandma's place I felt exhausted, and I'm still trying to replenish my energy. It never fails; everytime I go there, I'm wiped out! When I got home, I had a nice meal consisting of those California Rolls and a pita sandwich, with turkey and organic alfalfa sprouts. I also bought some whipped cream, so I could be bad and splurge out on ice cream! I'm so glad I had the time to do the things I really needed and wanted to do, today. Now, I'm going to end this lovely day on a pleasant note, and I'm going to watch a movie and drink my tea. Ta ta.
