why 9 hours of testimonial & talk
filtered into another hourslong
shutdown yesterday why
the pastoral idyll shattered
the nooses & swastikas
the patterns of violence
& hate surfaced
on the hilltop i don't have the time
the energy because
what surfaced
is only the surface
and i'm tired
