This is so not fun!

Well, 2 weeks on Glumetza (extended release metformin) and Lantus Solostar and my blood sugar is DOWN!!  Yea!!  My weight is also down.  Double yea!!  But... I feel like crap!

I see my endo's nurse practitioner on Friday, so I'm holding out on calling her office, but I'm experiencing some things that might be side effects.  Can anyone help?

For the past week or so, my eyesight has gotten really bad.  I can't see anything without my glasses, and I can no longer read the text on my phone, even though I have it set to "large print".  I know that blurred vision can be a side effect of the insulin.  Will this settle out on its own, or should I check with my eye doctor about getting a new prescription?  Seems a bit cost prohibitive to get new glasses if it's something that will pass.

Also, for a few days now, my stomach has been hurting.  My upper abdomen is bloated and distended.  I feel like I did when I had my gallbladder attack, but I don't have my gallbladder any more.  It gets worse when I eat, and I'm only comfortable when I'm lying down or reclining.  I have been told to watch out for pancreatitis and lactic acidosis, but I don't know if my symptoms match these.  I feel like I have to have a bowel movement, and I've had several with no relief.  Does this sound like it could be a side effect?

This group has always been great and responsive, and I thank you for that!  I'm trying to find a closed Facebook group as well, but so far I haven't liked the ones I joined.  There seems to be so much misinformation when it comes to diabetes.   Can anyone recommend one?  I prefer closed groups.

Thanks everyone!
