Out of curiosity, has anyone else been having trouble with these FlexTouch pens? My diabetes nurse was raving about them. I can see why, in principle, as they're really easy to use. However, 3 of the 5 pens I've had have all stopped working, with the plunger mechanism just giving up the ghost. One of them did it with about 2 doses left, but the others packed in with more than half the cartridge still full.
This strikes me as really poor for such necessary (and probably not cheap - if I didn't get this free on the NHS and had to pay for it, I'd be spitting bullets about now) medication, and I'm going to raise this with the nurse when I see her next. In the meantime, I'm wondering if I was unlucky enough to have a faulty batch, or if this is unfortunately not an uncommon problem. I've kept the dead ones to give to my nurse, but I'm wondering if I should be pinging them at Novo Nordisk instead.
