Ugh. This drives me nuts: when people make comments, like "there isn't enough [pairing]"! or "this wasn't long enough!" I'm glad for the feedback but I have no idea how to address the problem. Even "I hated the premise" or "this story sucked!" tells me more about what I should do: not do that or not write that. What am I supposed to do when you say ( Read more... )

Hmmm When the review says "there isn't enough [pairing]"! is the reviewer referring to the one listed under 'pairing'? Coz if this is just a side pairing that is being referred to well, it's a side pairing for a reason and I think you can kind of ignore it if it's not about your main pairing. I mean if she/he wants a certain pairing, it's easy enough to look up.

As for the too short, whenever I leave a review like that, I usually mean it as a compliment. I wish the story was longer because I didn't want it to end so soon. If I wanted to know more = what happens next or want a sequel I usually state that in my review.

Don't know if that helped any.

The pairing I just don't get because I label pretty well; you know what you're getting into before you read. That second part, though, actually makes sense. I just assumed they meant "why is this so short?" instead of "I'd like to see more". I got one review for a one shot that said "Ow, the end is cute =) But this chapter is very short... TT" and I had no idea how to respond because it didn't sound like a compliment.

Well she/he liked it but apparently did not read or comprehend what one shot, or that "completed:yes" means. *eyeroll*
