I'm going to try with a little help from my friends
I got a *moral* (if we can call it) problem related the heroes_het_fic awards, and I guess this can be applied to all kind of fandoms...
My problem is that I really can't read a certain pairing, it made me throw up, and probably some other pairings are too disturbing for me.
Strangely enough I don't have any particular problem with most of the various squicks cruiscin-lan listed in her poll here , as long I don't dislike the pairing involved.
Now, it's easy skip that pairing in the characterization and in the best of pairing, but both this type are also nominated in the various genres in the best overall category.
So the question is: It's fair voting (for example) the Best Action/Adventure Fic, when I can't and won't read half of the fics nominated? (I haven't checked the others genres yet, but I guess the proportion is the same, God, that pairing is too much popular for me - ok I don't want to bash other people ship, sorry)
