Summary: She was his personal ghost, except for the fact that nobody could hear her. Not funny.
Author's Notes: Spoilers up to 3.19 Shades of Gray. Un-betaed and English is not my native language so I'm sorry about any mistakes. Feel free to correct me.
That was pathetic.
Elle almost, almost, felt sorry for Gabriel: so eager to connect with this awful man, and people said she was the one with daddy's issues! His father being a taxidermist with cancer? of all the cosmic jokes... Wouldn't Arthur Petrelli be a better father figure? At least Gabriel would have been part of a powerful family, even if they were creepy and dysfunctional.
And she bet that the smell of the stuffed animals must be revolting, too.
She asked herself for the umpteenth time why she was stuck with him: it was like that old chick movie, with the ghost and a lathe: she was his personal ghost, except for the fact that nobody could hear her. Not funny.
Maybe if he had just killed her and walked away from the beach, instead of hold a wake over her dead body all night, she wouldn't be there. Maybe this was Gabriel expressing his guilt in some twisted way : he was catholic, right? She wished she had read his file better...
The movie was accurate in one thing, though: by now she had figured out how to move objects and stuff around; the trick with the radio was funny, she giggled remembering how annoyed Gabriel was when he heard the song psycho killer.
She watched Samson begging for his death and Gabriel leaving. She had learned by now that no matter what, she would end up with Gabriel anyway, so she didn't hurry herself to follow him. This new habit he had to leave people alive was annoying. Ok, she admitted it, if she could still feel something she would be upset because she had not the same lucky, but who would blame her for this?
In any case this was the first occasion she had to take a little revenge.
"Don't worry, Gabriel, I'll kill daddy for you" Elle said, removing the cannula from the oxygen tank and opening the on/off valve.
The last thing Samson heard, lighting his cigarette, was a childish giggle.
