So let me get this straight:
I had never made a video using only promotional material before.
I had never made a vidlet in my life. In fact, I was never a fan of vidlets.
I was never that big of a fan of the X-Men movies. I like them, but not in an "OMG I WILL DIE IF I DON'T HAVE THE DVD NOW!" way.
And yet this movie came up and now I have not one but TWO X-Men vidlets made with promotional material.
What are you doing to me, movie? WHAT HAVE I BECOME? *drama face*
... aaaaand scene. :D *bows*
People of LJ, I bring you this humble offering:
Music: "88 Rounds per minute" by Blue Stahli
Fandom: X-Men: First Class (with bits of X-Men and X2: X-Men United. Just tiny bits)
Category: vidlet, action, fast-paced
Spoilers?: Again, there were only trailers, TV spots and sneak peaks used, so it should not be considered spoilery. However, some of those were actually kind of spoilery, so... *shrugs*
Characters: Everyone except Darwin, because apparently the guys who edited the promotional material don't like him.
Length: 1:30
Summary: Peace waiting for the DVD was never an option. ;P
AN:
humansrsuperior and
dreamrequiem are partially to blame for this, because without their (AMAZING, KICKASS AND ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!) vids to this piece of music (
here and
here), I never would have known it even existed. Thanks, ladies! :D
This vid isn't nearly as good as theirs in any way, shape or form, but I had a blast making it and that's what matters! Plus, the way the music fit Erik's swagger made me smile. XD
It was a bit tricky, though, 'cause the first time I made a vidlet, there was already a very limited source of clips to use, and for the second time around, considering I wanted to try and use different clips otherwise it would look a bit repetitive, there were even less clips to use, so that was a bit of a challenge. So I tried something different this time. Hopefully, it worked. I still used a lot of the same clips, but hopefully the two vids don't look THAT much alike.
AN 2: I was pretty indifferent about Azazel when I watched the movie, but after making two vidlets, I have to say... the guy is FUN to vid! The way he twirls around and everything, it's so much fun to set music to that! Thanks, Azazel!
