Doctor Who 5x04: Time of the Angels

Apparently, I skipped last week's episode review. Well, to be perfectly honest, I just didn't know what to say about it. While I did think it was the best Dalek episode since "Parting of the Ways"... well, there were spitfires in space! That's a bit too much.
I'm not saying it's not cool (frell, it definitely is!), but it's a bit... too much.
I was reminded of that sketch with Jon Stewart, Steve Carell and Stephen Colbert, where they were three TV producers and had to pitch the new reality show idea, and Jon's pitches were Colbert's, but with "IN SPACE" added to the end.
That's basically what this episode was. Spitfires IN SPACE!

HOWEVER, this week...

Doctor Who 5x04 Time of the Angels
Someone kick me. Please. I can't believe I did this again.
In 2007 (crap! Has it really been that long?), a young Di (ok, not that young) made the mistake of watching the episode "Blink" at night, all alone, in a house with the lights completely turned off.
HUGE mistake! Even worse was the fact that I had to go to the bathroom afterwards, but the bathroom inside this frelling house is halfway through a corridor which is PITCH BLACK on both ends. I kept looking back at the slightest sound.
This year? I thought "well, there's no way this episode will be as frightening as Blink! So I won't have the same problem!" so I, again, watched the episode at night, inside the same house, with the lights turned off. Luckily, this time I was not alone! However, I still need to go to the bathroom and the only way to do that is to face that freaking corridor.

DAMN YOU, MOFFAT!!!!!!

I mean, sure, this was not as frightening as "Blink" was, but that scene with Amy and the recording? Pretty darn creepy!!! And then when they realize all statues are Angels? Creepy! The Angel talking to him through Bob (that was his name, right?)? That's right, you guessed it: CREEPY!
The story was fantastic! Weeping Angels hiding in a place full of statues... That's like a movie waiting to happen!
It's hard to judge this episode without the end, though. There were just so many questions! Why are the Angels killing people and not zapping them to the past? What do they want? What have they done to Amy? Why was River Song in prison? Where the frell did she learn to fly the TARDIS? GAAAAAH!!! Frell you, Moffat!

Speaking of River Song, I kept liking her more every time I watched Silence in the Library and Forest of the Dead. The first time I watched them, I wasn't too sure about her... Now I definitely like her! I'm one of those people who don't think she's the Doctor's wife. And even if she is, there's something else there. I like how the Doc was "tickled" by her all the time and just how much Amy was enjoying it! I loved the Amy/River team. They had a really good interaction.
I LOVED that scene where the Doctor pretended he wasn't listening to them. HA! So cute!

And then that scene where Amy thought her hand had turned to stone! Oh my! Poor Amy! I'm SO GLAD the Doctor didn't just leave her there... and then he bit her. ♥
I'M LOVING AMY/DOCTOR, YOU GUYS!!!!!!

AND THEN THE PREVIEW!!!! HOLY FRELL!!!
Something's wrong with Amy... They're in a forest (how the hell did they get there?)... Amy can't open her eyes... THEN SHE DOES!... THE CRACK! The Doctor notices the crack (it's about damn time)!... AND THEN HE GETS YANKED BACK!!! O_O

We don't have to wait another week, right? The next episode will be up, like, tomorrow, right? RIGHT????
