I'm finally done watching the last 4 episodes of season 1 of Battlestar Galactica and all I have to say is...
HOLY COW! Why didn't anyone tell me that was going to happen? HUH?
Here I am, watching the last episode, I found out I don't have the second season with me right now (which
delennbr,
geovana_garcia,
cynthiafop and I don't really know who else got me for my birthday), but I'm thinking "Hey, not a problem. Everything's fine, everything worked out fine in the episode, all is well. I'd very much love to have the next episode here with me, but I can wait until Monday, no problem." and them BAM! Or rather... BANG!
BANG! BANG!
BOOMER SHOOTS ADAMA!?
Seriously, people, WHY didn't anyone prepare me for that? That way, I'd be ready with the first DVD of season 2 right now.
GAAAAH!!!
...
I seriously need that next episode right now.
But anyway, about the season as a whole (or actually, the whole show so far):
I'm loving it. In case you couldn't tell.
Lee/Kara is still my OTP and I love them in every way. They ROCK!
Especially Starbuck, she's my hero.
Roslin/Adama is a close second on my OTP list, and they both rock in their own way. Roslin in particular, I love her! She's such a strong character and a strong leader to these people. My only real problem with her would be this sudden turn to religion that she has taken. I didn't get the sense that she was a particularly religious person before, and then all of a sudden she's with this plan of going to Earth, all based on prophecies and religion.
I mean, not that I have a problem with religion and prophecies, I certainly wouldn't have any if it were a part of the character, like with Starbuck, for instance.
But with Roslin it's just weird that she suddenly believes she's this 'chosen one', and is willing to confront Adama and risk the peace in the colonies that she's been fighting for from the very beginning.
Baltar, for instance, has had Six on his ear the whole time, talking about God and religion and everything, and he's still not quite sure about it. Although, by the look of it, it seems he's now a believer, but it took time anyway, while Roslin turned to religion in like an episode or two.
But anyway, that's my only problem with her. I still love that she's always fighting for what she believes is right.
All the characters are great, anyway. I guess the only character I really don't like is that Helen lady, the colonel's wife. And the colonel himself for that matter.
The rest is just great!
Even Tom Zarek! I loved Tom Zarek!
He looks like he's such a notorious bad guy, and yet I love him. He's such an interesting character. And, frankly, a bit frightening.
So yeah... I'm hooked. Again.
Only this time I DON'T HAVE THE NEXT EPISODE TO WATCH!!!
grrrrrrrrr
Oh well. I guess I'll just keep watching season 1 of The Big Bang Theory, then.
... which I'm also loving, by the way. Sheldon is THE BEST! I mean, he loves Battlestar Galactica and Doctor Who! How can I not love him?
This show makes me feel really happy for being a nerd. :)
