New Doctah!!!
I just watched the new Doctor Who episode.
Doctor Who episode 4x01: Partners in crime
I liked the episode. I mean, I was expecting a lot more from it, but I liked it.
Here are my thoughts:
- I loved Donna's grandfather! I really did.
- Those aliens were SO cute!!!!!
- Uh... since when does the sonic screwdriver work for long distances??? I mean, was it always like this? I thought the Doc had to press it against whatever it is he wanted to fix/open/lock/whatever. Or at least keep in close proximity. I'm confused!
- Here's a thing that bothered me: the alien nanny gal wanted to kill Doc and Donna... she had a sonic thingy herself and stopped the building thingy so she had them both just hanging, going nowhere and with nowhere to hide. She had two guys with guns right beside her. WHY DIDN'T THE TWO DUDES JUST SHOOT THEM?????
- I LOVED the scene through the glass window! Just so funny!
- I also loved the "You just want to mate???" bit! And I truly hope that means we won't have Donna falling for the Doctah anytime soon. Or ever! Because seriously... we've had enough of that. And those scenes in the beginning had me worried. But please, Donna! DON'T fall for the Doc!
- And then there was... ROSE!? I certainly wasn't expecting her to show up so soon! I mean, she just showed up and went away and said nothing! And apparently we won't have any more or that in the next episode... So... what was that all about???
Overall, I really enjoyed this episode. The plot was 'meh', but the bits with Donna and the Doc were brilliant. Seriously, Donna was brilliant! I'm just SO happy to have such a new kind of companion right now (although I also did love to hear the Doctor talking about Martha a bit and not just Rose).
Then I watched the confidential.
RTD irritates me. I don't really know why... he just does. Every single time.
And the song choices are still so hilariously random! I just love it!
