What is a Dhympire? (quick answer)

Dhympire:

From "Vampyre Hunter D", best know for its anime form, which is a cult classic in the "domestic" (US-based, English speaking) world. Basically, a human mother and demon / vampire father. Has the strengths of humans (i.e. can walk during the day) but also the strengths of vampires (which vary from individual to individual, as vampirism is actually a form of personal energy work; just as each individual has their own taste in cars and subjects to study academically, each individual also chooses what they want to develop as "super-natural" power).

Yes, I'm part vampire... but most people are zombies.

A zombie has insufficient mental functions.

Vampires are weak against sunlight because they need to build a stronger nervous system than zombies (a common, sub-human human-noid person), in order to process more information. After they build up "metal" or bio-electical energy, by a "dry channel lymphatic system" and other means such as Nen Ai (Japanese), Ai-Ki-Do, Zen, or Chi Kung ( or Chi Gong - Chinese energy work), or Yoga (western sub-set of energy work involving mind-body-spirit union and syncronisation or harmonisation), daylight is not a problem.

It is not actually daylight, but heat.

All mystics prefer cool places, windy places... mountain tops, shorlines, air conditioned offices (with plants and natural lighting), cool caves.

The concept of a "true human" is fairly well known, or should be... Buddas are one example from the east, and Lord Jesus Christ is another example from the west... and nearly ever work of fiction has an ideal human as a concept, even if the heroes fall short of it, they can only "fall short" if they know what "tall" is.

So, you can build up, using pen and paper, what a true human, would be.

In Japanese, "shin" means both "true" and "super", but use different Kanji (identical prononuciation, though). This is a pun in the Shin Megami Tensei series, but anyhow, it is also a fact that to be true to youself, makes you super-common since the common ways are so inferior to the minimal level of performance for a true human.

Getting back to weaknesses of vampires... they are none, really... it is just a matter of the body adjusting itself to a higher level of operation. The brain needs more energy, and the body needs more flexibility. That is why vampires have soft bodies, and do yoga. It is related to tran-kinetic motion, fa-jin kung-fu, and other higher level techniques which are useful for quickly dispatching mortals who get out of hand.

More soon, gotta rush out to an appointment.....
