Where I've been...

So I've been somewhat absent since I posted my Big Bang. Between a vacation, a trip home, hurricanes, and job hunting, I've been somewhat busy, and things aren't looking to slow down any time soon. I did a stage up at a club in Vero Beach (kind of like an audition where I worked for free a couple nights in order to see how well I'd fit in, or at the very least, to just get a chance to work in another kitchen) and it was a huge success. The kitchen was gorgeous--so neat and clean and organized, unlike any kitchen I've ever seen--and the people were wonderful. It was such a blast, I didn't want to leave, and I guess the feeling was mutual because they offered me the job and I accepted. It's a seasonal position so I'm not moving for another month, but I'm really looking forward to it. I'm going to miss the friends I've made here but this place has made me unhappy for a while now and I'm excited about the change. I just don't quite know how to tell this place I'm leaving yet, especially since I live on property and when I give my two weeks, I'm afraid they'll just kick me out. Yeah, that's the kind of charming place I'm working for. I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed and see how it goes. But anyway, if I vanish again, consider me in transit. :D
