Twins are home
I just received today's text message update from Michael today.
"Tell the world-Babies coming home today!"
They are very overjoyed by this. Earlier in the week, they were in the dark about how much longer it would take. Then yesterday afternoon, they received the first message that suggested the twins may come home this weekend sometime, perhaps Sunday. Then, this morning, they received confirmation that both babies were being discharged from intensive care and allowed to go home today.
Kris and Michael have asked that NOBODY come visit or call until they hear otherwise. The house is very full with Joy and Joy's mother (not to mention Jenny the nanny, Tristan, etc) Michael also mentioned to me that the babies are still very premmie.
On the other hand, emails are greatly appreciated. Send your well wishes, and other comments to NiTHON.com (Michael is: nithon at that domain. They will check the mail as daily as possible. Including comments about how each of you are doing and what's going on in the world outside premature babies would probably make them happy. (Don't expect a quick response. They are very busy with the twins.)
In other Fossan news, rumor has it that the doctor showed up to check in on the babies Wednesday morning on his rounds and was SHOCKED to find the babies clothes has been switched: Aidan wearing Zoe's pink outfit and Zoe wearing Aidan's blue outfit. The doctor DEMANDED that the nurses correct the horrid mistake before the parents see such a horrid condition. Oh, did I mention that Michael did it the night before to continue his fun pranks for the main nurse who was due back to work Wednesday morning? It seems the doctor showed up before the nurse came back on duty. oops... :)
Anyway, if you know anyone who knows the Fossans, please pass on the news: the babies are coming home today. Please not calls or visitors until they invite us back. However, emails are greatly appreciated.
