I really hope it's not DMC too but.. Damn.
Maybe this guy is a psycho locked in a ward who thinks he's Dante. Or were all previous DMC games a product of his imagination?? Like in repo men or smth??
God, if this is a series reboot or side story, then WHY mention DANTE in vain??

All previous games a product of imagination... NO. This is one of the WORST plot ideas ever invented. I'd rather he's some psycho kid brainwashed into thinking he's Dante. That would explain his lack of healing abilities, clumsiness, molasses-firing-speed, and other levels of fail... And I hope he goes right splat on the ground where he jumped off. Suits him best. He looks like he'll start sparkling in any moment.

Why the hell do they try to do this to Dante... They could have introduced a new dude, if they don't like Dante AND Nero for fuck's sake.

Even Nero seems a better alternative now T.T
We already have a young Dante - it's DMC3, so I'm not buying this "even more younger Dante" stuff that's all over the gameblogs now =(
Yes, his lack of healing and overall... squalidness give me hope. He's a walking fail ffs!
Maybe it's like with Revelations trailer - everything is not what it seems. I don't know what to think.

I disliked Nero when he first appeared... because he was the lead and I was afraid he'd mess up Sparda's twins story - he's obviously related by blood, for gods' sakes. Well, he did mess that up, but he was so damn cute and likable while Dante was retarded, the little bastard grew on me and now I'm a Nero fan. xD;; He's more of my sort of a boy, you know... Responsible.
Not to mention I love Exceed.

BUT Nero was a new character. (NOT Vergil.) And this... this... whatever that THING is, it cannot be Dante. We already have Dante, so GTFO >_> I would still call it fail if the ugly emo dude was a new protagonist, but transforming Dante into this abomination is just entire levels of fail past it and utterly WRONG.
(I didn't like the fact that DMC4 Dante can recover from anything. But. Here they're just scratches. Fuck, I don't even ( ... )

Well these shots (1:18) with his brain short-circuited remind me of Assassin's Creed. He IS forced into thinking he's Dante. Maybe he's "sent" into DMC world for some purpose? Maybe to kill Dante (lol good luck with that)?

Also our Dante loves himself far too much to let himself go this badly. This one is riffraff.
What worries me more is that the game is being developed by some UK developer. Movements already aren't as slick as they always were. What the hell is going on? T.T

Oh come on, no more Terminator plots... Maybe intelligent demons for once? Trying to subtly destroy Dante's reputation and make it harder for him to move freely... Or humans wanting to get rid of him because he's in the way. Again.

That sucks too.
1) They've never made PC game, so I'm out.
2) They made only three games, and they already got DMC?
3) I've seen Heavenly Sword. It sucked.
4) I've seen game development institute on my British university. Those guys did absolutely nothing but play games for entire days.
Capcom is killing DMC or what? Why the fuck give it to some other company? Their DMC4 engine was smooth. The junk the UK company used for the trailer LAGS. It's a trailer. They could take weeks to render that shit... so why the fuck it is lagging. =.=
