Happy Fricking 2009!!
Well since everyone else is posting about how awful 2009 is, I thought I might as well join the club. I will gladly take 2008 back. Hell, I'd even be happy to skip straight ahead to 2010.
A child I am providing with speech/langauge therapy is back in the hopsital with leukemia and not doing well at all. In fact, his parents just informed me today that they are most likely stopping all treatment. This was not an easy thing for me to hear and I now regret becoming so attached to this kiddo because I know that there will only be more hurt in the future. In the meantime, I'm still responsible for providing services for him and it just seems so pointless...what good can I do?
I'm also sad for my friends who are going through some rough patches as well. Let's hope that things improve for everyone...
