“Be awed by Ore-sama’s prowess!” Atobe declared, flipping his hair.
Sanada rolled his eyes. “That doesn’t make you better than me, Atobe,” he said.
“Well, Sanada, it doesn’t make you better when you’re compared to me.”
“And are you actually better than me? Last time I checked, I’ve won my games.”
“Ore-sama has won them too, Sanada. I am better than you!”
From the kitchen, Echizen called, “I beat you both.”
“Well, if I recall it, you didn’t beat me, Echizen,” Fuji, who was drinking from a container marked ‘Inui Wasabi Juice Special’, paused to say.
“Mada mada dane, Fuji-senpai.” Echizen smirked. “I beat you in billiards.”
“But I still have the lead in our little tennis game.” Fuji smiled.
“Che.”
“And as I recall it, I beat you, Echizen.” Tezuka entered the kitchen.
“But you didn’t beat me,” Fuji told him.
“I beat Buchou,” Echizen stated.
“I beat you, Tezuka,” Sanada said, following Tezuka in.
“Ore-sama beat you too, Tezuka.” Atobe waltzed in likewise.
“…”
All three statements were true. Tezuka couldn’t react.
“Aha! Tezuka admits that Ore-sama is better than him!” Atobe shouted in triumph.
“How can you be sure?” Sanada snapped.
“Silence means yes, Sanada.”
“That’s the silence he’s given my statement, Atobe.”
“I beat you, Atobe-san,” Echizen said again.
“Ore-sama beat Tezuka,” Atobe said, ignoring Echizen.
“I beat him too,” Sanada said.
Fuji chuckled.
Tezuka didn’t say anything.
“Ore-sama is the best here!” Atobe declared.
“Mada mada dane!” Echizen declared.
“I am the best!” Sanada declared.
“…” Only silence from Tezuka. He’s already lost to them. He frowned. No one saw.
“I didn’t lose to you three,” Fuji gently cut in.
Sanada and Atobe stopped, turned, stared at Fuji. They didn’t contradict that statement-because it was true.
“I beat you in billiards.” Echizen smirked at him again.
“But Echizen.” Fuji’s grin was triumphant. “Did you ever notice that we are talking about tennis?”
“…” Echizen couldn’t answer.
“Well, I beat you,” Tezuka said to Fuji.
“You lost to me!” Atobe cried out.
And so the whole thing started again.
