Finally someone posts David/Ecklie! And if that wasn't enough, it was you. I swear all the grand ones here have returned, all bearing fic for little newcomer me to read (and, apparently, love).

There's something about both these two that I like (I know, I've got a huge thing for "the guy on the good team that's almost on the bad team but he's still a good guy when it all comes down" - Ecklie, Hodges, Snape, Smith (ok, so maybe I have a slight thing for the plain bad guy too), and I've never understood why no one else seem to share my fondness for them. My best friend thinks both Hodges and Ecklie are "horrible, mean men who should be lonely all their lives" *glares in general direction of said friend*, but I maintain they just need some loving. And if they bother everyone that much, then why not put them together? Besides, there's no way someone can resist the ship name Hickie that popped up over at talk.csi..

I really liked this, the fact that they don't say anything at all's a very nice change, and the description of them and their verbal weapons are extremely good.

I truly hope you write more fic for me to read.

Hahaha, I agree with you completely, there! I adore Hodges and Ecklie, and Snape of course. Ecklie is one of my favorite characters to write because he's minor enough that I get to play around with his backstory. (I have him claimed at csi50.) And I just enjoy writing him, because he really isn't, in my opinion, that bad of a guy. (Haha, as evident by the huge fic I once wrote about him.)

Anyway, thank you for your kind words! ^^

Snape, as they say here, is love. So is Hodges *mindshags Hodges rotten*, and Ecklie's really growing on me, even if he can be a bit of an asshole at times (not that I should open my mouth about that, heh). Seeing as I've a thing for Smith as well, maybe that means I've a thing for (slightly) mean, (misunderstood) tall men with suits.. Like I didn't already know that..

Which huge fic did you write about Ecklie? I do agree about him being minor enough to have virtually no canon background (besides him being divorced). And he's not a bad man, he's just misunderstood! (that there's my second most used phrase, only beaten by "I don't care if the two hot,(naked) men in that picture are touching/kissing - there are two hot, (naked) men in that picture!")

Good fic merits kind words : )

I love Snape as well. I have a thing for asshole characters who, while they are assholes, are still good.

I wrote a fic called 'The World vs. Conrad Ecklie' wherein I paired him with an OMC. I'm planning to write two sequels to it; hopefully, I can accomplish this sometime before I'm thirty.

*coughcoughHodgescoughcough*

Ah, that title seems familiar, hehe, that one I've read and loved. Seeing as I'm still an lj-hatchling, I haven't even commented on half of what I've read while I was lurking, and I'm almost a little ashamed (almost. I have no shame). I'm looking forward to the sequels! : D

Haha, thanks! I just need to get back into the habit of writing daily. I've been Writer's Blocked for so long. Bah.

I only finally broke it a couple days ago. Thank you, sleep deprivation. (I often get good ideas right before I'm about to fall over from exhaustion. I don't know why.)

It's a law of nature. It's how come I can get the equivalent of an A on a paper I write the night before I hand it in, whilst getting the equivalent of a B on something I've spent an entire week writing.

*waves hand in dramatic way* You WILL get back into the habit of writing daily...

Haha, that's definitely a law of nature. As a world-class procrastinator, I can testify to that. =P

Hopefully!
