New eye test
There was a tear in one my right contact lens, and I found out that was my last of the right eye ones. At work, with my glasses on, I called the optician and found out some interesting things.
Turns out I had my half-year-automatic payment cancelled in 2007, and they didn't sent me any new contactlenses. Thinking back, I do believe I got some more contact lenses, though not in the past... year or one-and-a-half. Now, I know that I use the lenses longer then they prescribed, but THAT much longer?! (okay, the ones I wear now are the same I put in 3 months ago...)
Next thing I'm told that I had to come in every year or so to check my eyes for any problems and health issues. I do not recall any of that. Then again, it was the end of 2004 when I started wearing contacts. I do know that back at 2007, when I bought new glasses for the evening hours/weekend, no health issues came up on that eye check.
So... I made an appointment for 18:00 tonight after work (feels more like an afternoon hour to me), and have yet another eye check. I hope things are okay, or at least not too bad. I like my soft contact lenses.
