Notes: This pairing just came to me. I love to read Hermione/Edward but the idea of Mike/Hermione seem sweet. Mikes needs some love. Also chosenfire28 helped me with some of the story. I made it longer on her suggestions. Lol . I may continue it in a series but I don’t know yet. Graphic was made by me. For galorechallenge community

“Mike, what are you doing up there? You are going to break your neck.” Hermione yelled at her child hood friend as he climbed the tree.
"Hermione, come on, live a little," he teased her as he got off the tree knowing that she was worried.
"Mike, you are a jerk, you know that right?" she said as she hugged him.
"I know, that’s why you love me so much." He answered with a smirk in his face.
“If I knew I was going to get a hug out of climbing that tree I should have done it sooner.”
“Wow, you are confident today.” She replied as she pulled back from the hug to stare at him.
He couldn't stop looking at her brown, chocolate eyes. He loved everything about her. Ever since she moved to Forks, his life had been complete. He wasn't the same person that he was back in high school. He had grown and he had learned from his past experiences.
He had seen one of his friends get married young thinking it was crazy. Thinking that she had her whole life ahead of her. But now that thought had changed. He now had an idea what Bella had been feeling when she had married Edward, because he was feeling it for Hermione. Love.
The crush he had felt for his friend had disappeared and now he wanted more.
They had been staring at each other for a long time. It appeared to be hours and couldn't break from each others embrace. At this point he was holding her tightly to his chest.
"What are we doing?" she asked softly.
"Completing me," he said with a smile.
"You were the missing piece of me," with that said he placed his hands in her cheek and place a small kiss in her lips. Year of wanting to be close to her had been complete in that small kiss.
"You were my missing piece also." Hermione told him smiling back and kissing him once more.
They kissed passionately for a while until they both had to pull apart for air.
“That was…”
“Amazing.” Hermione finished Mike’s response.
“I have been wanting to do that for a while,” he said freely as he leaned his forehead towards Hermione’s.
“You did?”
“How couldn’t I; I have fallen for you Hermione?” He placed a small kiss on her forehead as he replied to her question.
She smiled at him and placed her head on his chest as he held her close.
“I am happy I came.” She said as she held him closer.
“How long are you staying?” He asked her, a question he was scared to ask since she arrived that morning.
“I don’t know. I hope that it’s a long while.” They pulled apart from each other. Instantly they felt the cold of the lost of their embrace.
“I hope it’s a long while also,” he responded as he caressed her cheek.
