Well here's a male LJer for you, although now that you mention it, all but one person on my Friend's list is female! (ok there's another male but his is now exclusively a joke LJ) Hmm. However I guess I've helped maintain this patter without even knowing it exsisted, as I provided Rahael with her code! Btw, I'm skyMatrix on AtP. And welcome to the community, if that is what it is!
Now that Masq has traced the actual line of sirings, I suppose it is appropriate to remember that genetic inheritance and cultural inheritance lines do not always coincide. Since I would probably not have a LiveJournal were it not for Rah's influence, so I have you to thank for that! Of course, Rah's been lurking in various LJs for a while now, so I don't know who first really gave her the inclination (I think Fandom Wank may have been a contributor).
It is times like these that we need some sort of memetic equivalent to mitochondrial DNA. The male/female ratio of LJ users should complicate that, though!
ROTFL! That is just great that you used the siring metaphor, because I really wanted to use it myself but I thought that it would be too off-color for some reason! I wonder who Rah gave her code to, anway, because it would really be fun to have my own line of vampires... I mean LJ users! And yeah, I don't claim credit for giving her idea to have an LJ.

Oh my God! LadyStarlight has an LJ? And Honorificus has taken over? Whoo, scary!
Welcome to LJland. This is Scroll, your "biological" grandsire. I loved reading your first entry -- you're the only person I know who could talk about The Who, Buffy, and the sociobiology of blogs all at the same time :)
Scroll! I've drooled over your icon a lot already!dherblayMay 7 2003, 17:11:42 UTC
I don't know how prolix I'll be in the future; it's hard to talk about The Who, Buffy and the sociobiology of blogs when I've got all these new friends to reply to!
Re: Scrollgirl, who is your sire?scrollgirlMay 9 2003, 20:17:38 UTC
My sire is actually another Canadian (though I didn't find that out until after I got the LJ code). Her name is raincitygirl. I didn't know her beforehand, I actually knew her friends first (some lovely people I'd been stalking for a good year already!) but I posted a comment to her LJ and she just offered me a code. Nice of her, eh?
Yeah, so not another ATPo-er. So the incest stops here!
Ah, yes... the cute yet slyly accurate Wes "Phallic Symbols? What Phallic Symbols?" icon. Heh. Y'know, I know those guns and swords and axes are meant to be both props to and pokes at Wesley's new manliness, but I really don't care. When it comes right down to it, I'm all about the eye-candy ;)
Hi! I didn't know it was you! This is Scroll from ATPo. I really do think we're taking over LJland. You may be dherblay's spiritual grandsire, but at least I'm his "biological" grandsire. Hey, I gotta fit myself in the family tree somewhere :)
Hey back! Actually I really appreciate having all my new AtP friends on here, previously I only had local friends and their daily life isn't that different from my own! So now, hopefully some variety! ;)
