OK, so I've had this job three days now, and I'm reaching a few conclusions.

1. My boss is the most insane speciman of humanity on the planet. He is over-caffinated, hyperactive, and speaks and walks faster than any man I've ever met. Also, he can't seem to remember my last name. I'm amazed he remembers my first.
However, he's brilliant, so perhaps I'll keep him.

2. The women of the White House really do need to get out more. Do they think I haven't noticed all the stops, and the muffins left on my desk, and the conversations that stop when I walk into a room? Also, every single one has made a point of introducing herself to me. I'm debating faking gay, just to see what they'd do.

3. I have seen more people in this building with LJ-update screens open than actual work. Not that that's a bad thing, unless you want the government to run, I suppose. Still, I'm rather amused. It seems that LJ is the major form of socializing around here. I'm going to have to snoop and see if I can find out what screennames are. I bet Josh's is something incredibly obvious. Subtle is not a word in his vocabularly, I'm finding.

4. What a rush to walk past the Oval Office every day. Mom's been asking for the President's autograph; I should find out if that's allowed.
