I have been away from home the last few days. I have been visiting my family out in Holyoke. It has been nice to be away. I have liked spending the days with my mom when I would have otherwise been alone. I do miss Steve though and I am looking forward to seeing him again on Thursday. Here's what I've been up to:
- I enjoyed my first few days of freedom from work at home by myself. It's nice having some time to myself to do whatever, but it can get a little lonely at times. My summer is shaping up to be pretty busy so I don't think I will have too much of a problem.
- I left home on Saturday while Steve was golfing for his brother's bachelor party. I went to Connecticut first and spent some time with Donna and Jered. We had a good time catching up with each other. We bought some fireworks to use in the backyard. (I also bought some "illegal" fireworks to take back to Massachusetts. I feel like a criminal. Heh.). It was nice spending the night too.
- I headed up to my parent's house on Sunday afternoon. I have been trying to help out where I can. I have been cooking a little bit. I have also been taking my mom out on some errands. Some have been fun (Cold Stone Creamery) and some are not so fun (the doctor's). As much as I like doing this, a small part of me feels sad that I can't always be around to help. Maybe I can just quit my job...
- My mom had a CT scan today. We are going to find out the results of the CT scan tomorrow. Hopefully, there will be good news.
- I pulled my file from my doctor's last week and I found a new doctor. I have an appointment scheduled in a few weeks. I am looking forward to meeting her. I heard that she is very good. She can't be any worse than my old doctor. I just want to start things over again and put that mess behind me.
- I feel old talking about health stuff.
- I can't believe that it's already July. I hope that this summer doesn't go by too fast!
