I speak freely as a friend when I say that the "road less traveled" seems to have become the road never traveled... and for good reason. I can remember times when you'd stand to publicy testify of your brushes with death amongst numerous other things - times when you'd mention Mike or whoever calling you out when you were in your wrong - many times in many situations. It's been Diego to Riverside to Diego to Riverside to Diego to Riverside to Diego and back to Riverside. It hurts to see you like this, who you've become and what you've become - or perhaps becoming (on both of those). I know that life has it's valleys, but why intentionally go into one? The bible says to LET patience work her perfect work. If we all would just allow our lives to develop, and go about our business, everything would be perfect - and as it should be. I remember you saying that you're doing your Street-Ministry/Spawn/Neo thing, but the persona you portray isn't reflecting a God-fashioned souldier. The smoking, drinking, and whatever else that's causing you to stray needs to go. I remember you saying that you need to "become one of them" so you could "save one of them". But how can you become stronger in God by first becoming weaker in Him? I know that God works in mysterious and unconventional ways, but that makes no logical or spiritual sense. It's full throttle or fumes - Am I right?
I hope you knew this post was coming. I actually wrote a reply to a previous post of yours, but I exceeded the amount of allowed alphanumerics by 5000+ letters. I ultimately decided not to post it as an entry in my own log, as I did not want to come off as being abrasive. But, please, try and remember what all you've been through, and what all God's done in your life.
1. You're alive. 2. You continued to be so after falling off of a freeway ramp in a GTA. 3. Your collapsed lung filled with oxygen after an exposure to a church service. 4. God filled you with His spirit once before. 5. He really wants to do it again.
I don't serve a commercialized, limited, cliched, or made-up God. I serve Jesus Christ - And I know that all things are possible through Him and by Him... even the physicaly replenishing of my friendship with you (and others). As it was read in bible class not too long ago - He that hates his brother is a murderer. And because I AM your friend, I'm speaking to you in love... and in LIFE. I pray that the Spirit is not stifled. And I pray that the warrior that was called within you is victorious. Let's be chosen together. There's a lot more than you think that's riding on this.
You know what to do. And I pray that you do your thizzle.
