Iron May
It's May 1, so I have some mugget around the house and I saw iron Man 3, as you do.
First, the mugget/lily of the valley, because it's a French tradtion.
IT WAS AWESOME.
There were armours everywhere, and parts of it were a bit all armour all the time, but I didn't mind. It was interesting seeing how the various designs changed but retained a coherent look. My favourite was probably Igor.
Pepper was great. I was a bit disappointed that she was barely in the armour at all, but the Extremis-powered showdown at the end made it worth it. I choose to bieleve that Tony meant he staibilised the compound using Maya's notes, not that he took it of her entirely. I do what I want shut up Marvel. Either way, I'm going to be severely disappointed if there is no Rescue in the MCU.
Speaking of Maya, she's not dead. She had the Extremis injector in her hand when she got shot and didn't die on the spot, so she must have injected herself with it, and lived because why not. I also loved when she took offense to being referred as a botanist, and her scene with pepper in the hotel.
I really liked how things from the comics got shuffled and changed into something new, like Extremis, Iron Patriot and the Mandarin reveal.
The scenes between Tony and Rhodey were funny and I greatly enjoyed Rhodey kicking ass without his armour, like the bit where he bursts out of it and takes down one of his captors.
I enjoyed the scenes of Tony and the kid, and was pleasantly surprised when the kid made it out of the movie alive. I was expecting him to die, but instead he helped Tony repair Jarvis. I mean, Tony left him after a rather mean-spirited joke and it turned out the villain wasn't dead?
It's hard to pick a favourite bit, even excluding all the Pepper scenes, but the Monkey Grab/truck scene was awesome as was Rhodey's 'very elegant, Mr President.' The cameos by Stan Lee and Yinsen were great too. Pepper taking out Killian was still the best, though.
Tl;dr: I loved it, and now I feel like editing/rewriting that Good Omens/MCU crossover fic, because damn, Pepper, you be awesome and your hair is redder and more fabulous than ever before.
