Once again, my friends, you supplied me with some fun prompts. Here are the ficlets from the SG-1 Sam/Janet prompts...

Breathe

Sam rolled over in bed and was startled to find Janet Fraiser lying beside her. Her breath caught in her throat and her heart stopped.

A smile formed on the doctor’s lips and without opening her eyes she said, “Breathe, Sam, breathe.”

The blonde’s blue eyes widened in surprised and fear.

Janet opened her eyes and turned to head to look at Sam. “How do you feel?”

“Huh?”

“You were quite sick last night - throwing up and running a high fever. How do you feel this morning?”

Everything from the night before came flooding back into Sam’s mind. She remembered feeling so sick she broke down and called Janet who came over to her house to check on her. She remembered puking her guts out as Janet steadied her. She remembered lying in bed burning up as Janet soothed her. She took a breath and slowly let it out. “Better. Thanks.”

“You’re welcome. Do you think you manage to keep something down if it’s bland?”

“I think so.”

Janet got up. “Good. I’ll make you some cream of wheat.”

“Do you mind if I clean up first?”

“Not at all.”

“Okay. I’ll meet you downstairs.”

~~~
After her shower Sam went down to her kitchen and found Janet just placing a nice, hot bowl of cream of wheat on the table for her.
“Feel better?” Janet asked.
“Much. Thanks again, Janet, for everything.” She sat down and started eating her breakfast. She smiled when Janet joined her at the table and spread some cream cheese on a bagel.
Sam dropped her spoon and turned pale after five or six bites. She’d suddenly remembered something else about last night - something she’d said.
“Sam? What’s wrong?” Janet asked, her voice full of concern.
The blonde looked at the doctor in trepidation. “I-I just remembered something about last night.”
Janet smiled knowingly. “It’s okay, Sam.” She leaned over and kissed the blonde. “I love you, too.”
Sam was dumbfounded... pleased, but dumbfounded.
The doctor gently cupped her cheek. “Breathe, Sam, breathe.”
Against Regulations
“I’ve been wanting to kiss you since the first time we met.”
The blonde major’s eyes widened. She didn’t know what to say.
“So what do you say? Will you go out with me tonight?”
“Thank you, but I don’t think so.”
“Why not?”
“You know it’s against the regulations.”
The brunette captain looked so disappointed, but nodded and silently left Sam’s lab. Not two seconds later another person entered her lab.
“Hey, Sam.”
“Hey.”
“What’s wrong with Captain Turner? He looked like his puppy died.”
“He asked me out.”
“What did you tell him?”
The blonde sighed. “I told him it was against regulations.”
“Poor guy.”
“Well, I couldn’t exactly tell him I was already spoken for by a certain doctor,” she said with a smile.
Janet returned her smile. “And don’t you forget it.”
Fall From Grace
Sam had to admit that Janet looked pretty hot in BDUs. Especially when she removed the over-shirt and exposed the form-fitting, black t-shirt underneath. Yes indeed, hot was definitely the word!
Janet, feeling the heat of P9G-357, took off her over-shirt and wiped a bandana across her damp forehead. She looked around the small campsite SG-1 had set up and frowned when she saw one of the cases containing her equipment turned over on its side. She walked over to the makeshift work table and hefted the yellow, plastic container up, placing it on the table. She opened it up to make sure nothing had been broken.
“Everything okay?”
She turned to see Sam next to her. “Yeah.”
“Good.” Sam almost licked her lips as she took in the heat-induced glow of Janet’s sweat-sheened skin. “The heat takes a little getting used to, but there’s a wonderful spring where you can cool off.”
Janet locked up of the case. “That sounds wonderful. Do we have time to go before dinner?”
Sam held up a small rucksack with their M.R.E.s in it. “We’ll bring dinner with us.”
“What about the guys?”
“They can feed themselves,” the blonde replied with a grin.
~~~

Janet knelt at the water’s edge, dipped her bandana into the water, and then squeezed the refreshing coolness out of it and across the back of her neck. She did this two more times before giving up. She stood, undid her belt and pants, stepping out of them and placing them next to her already discarded boots and socks. She then stripped off the black t-shirt, bra, and panties then dove into the water.

Sam jerked her head around at the splash. She was more than a little surprised to see Janet’s discarded clothing, but she couldn’t help but smile when the brunette broke the surface of the water.

Janet was grinning ear to ear. “Come on in, Sam; the water feels great.”

The blonde cast a glance around their surroundings. P9G-357 was a veritable Garden of Eden, and Janet certainly made temptation look good. Sam began to strip. If Janet was the forbidden fruit... she’d willingly fall from grace.

Because It’s You

“Aw, crap!”

The exclamation caused Sam to set aside the carburetor she was working on, wipe her hands, and step through the door from the garage into the kitchen. “Janet? What’s wrong?”

The brunette was standing at the kitchen sink holding her left hand under the running water. On the counter next to her was a broken glass. Even before she rushed to Janet’s side, Sam could see blood was mixing with the water than ran down from her hand.

“Janet!”

“I’m alright, Sam. I just cut my hand.” She pulled her hand out from under the faucet and looked at the injury. “Unfortunately, I think I’m going to need some stitches. Get me my bag, please, Sam.”

When Sam didn’t move or respond Janet looked at her. The blonde was extremely pail and looked like she was about to pass out. Her blue eyes were as wide as saucers.

“Sam?”

Still no sign she’d heard her.

“Hey, Sam!”

“Huh?” Sam was finally able to tear her eyes away from the blood flowing from her lover’s hand. She swallowed hard around the dryness of her mouth and throat.

“Will you get my bag, please? I don’t want to bleed all over the car on the way to the hospital.”

“Uh... bag... right.” She left the kitchen and ran up the step to their bedroom to retrieve Janet’s medical bag.

Upon Sam’s return, Janet managed to place an absorbent bandage over the cut and wrap her hand with some gauze. All the while, she kept a close eye on her still very pale lover.

“Sam? Do you think you can drive me to the hospital?”

The blonde nodded.

~~~
At the hospital one of Janet’s colleagues removed the bandage and inspected the wound. “Yep, you’re going to need about ten stitches.”
Sam sat on the gurney next to the Janet, but when Dr. Ellison injected some lidocaine so she could start stitching, the blonde turned green and rushed to the bathroom to toss her cookies. By the time she returned Dr. Ellison was just finishing up bandaging Janet’s hand.
She sheepishly walked out to the car next to Janet and started the car.
“Sam?”
“Hmm?”
“Talk to me. What’s wrong?”
“What do you mean?”
“I mean, you’re a soldier with field medic training; you’ve seen and even treated some pretty bad wounds. So what happened today?”
Sam closed her eyes for a few moments before she looked at Janet. “What I’ve seen and done in the field has nothing to do with it. I...” She trailed off as she tried to order her thought and feelings. “It’s different... because it’s you.”
The Bargain
Taking a deep breath, Janet started up Sam’s motorcycle and pulled out onto the road. As a doctor, who’d seen too many victims of crashes, she’d never been a big fan of motorcycles. However, she had made the deal Sam.
Sam had indeed held up her end of the bargain and took the dance lessons. They had already gone out and spent the night dancing - the two-step, the waltz, the cha-cha-cha, and others. In truth, they’d been out dancing more than once already. Sam had studied hard and her natural athleticism translated to grace on the dance floor. Janet couldn’t have been happier.
So, it was her turn to make good on the deal. Sam had given her everything she needed to read about the motorcycle and its operation. She gave her an in depth tutorial, going over just about every part and component. She’d set up orange cones in an empty parking lot so she could practice. Then she took and passed the test for her license.
And now, finally, she was riding Sam’s motorcycle on their first two-wheel vacation. She was riding the Harley, while the blonde rode her Indian. Janet smiled to herself. It was rather exciting. Besides, she looked damn good in the leathers Sam had surprised her with, even if she did say so herself.
Jump
Sam glanced over at Janet who looked absolutely terrified and said, “Just take my hand, take a deep breath, and jump.”
Janet shook her head. “I don’t know if I can do this, Sam.”
“Sure you can. We’ll do it together.”
The brunette took another look and felt her stomach do a flip-flop.
“Come on, Janet, this was your idea.”
Janet scowled at her lover. She didn’t need to be reminded of that fact.
“You did make me promise not let you chicken out.”
“I know I did,” she said with a sigh.
Sam held her hand out and waited for the doctor to take it. She then kissed Janet. “Happy Birthday, love.”
With Sam’s in hers, closing her eyes and saying a silent prayer, Janet jumped out of the plane.
~~~

On the ground Janet was grinning and bouncing up and down on her feet as Sam helped her out of her chute. “That’s was fantastic! Can we go again?”

Sam simply laughed.
