Yes, I'm still alive and kicking.
As some of you are aware, I signed up for NaNoWriMo this year. In the past I have happily cheered on friends and loved ones who dared to take on the challenge of writing a novel, of writing 50 thousand words in 30 days. For a couple of people I know this is a fairly easy challenge. For others, not so much. With my muse having been missing in action for a couple of years, I'm not sure why I thought this was a good time to take on NaNo for the first time... but I'm glad I did.
It wasn't easy by any stretch of the imagination, but I did manage to write 51 thousand words during the month of November -- I won NaNo! *G* My story is a long way from finished, but I'm pleased to have met the challenge. Of course, I'm not sure I could have done it without the constant and consistent support I received from
cherokee62 . Having someone's support and encouragement is a wonderful thing!
Now that it is December I'll continue to work on my NaNo story, as well as turn to other projects, such as the SSW I'm involved with (Tales of Ryh'na), making some icons, and continuing to prepare my house for possible sale (a long, slow process).
