I love the way you write Janet. She is compassionate but won't take b.s. from anyone. I especially like that she refuses to be 'on the defensive'; at no point do you have her explaining to Sam about her relationship with J.J. . Of course, in time, I'm sure she'd reveal her friendship with JJ and Ben, but it was best that Sam be willing to trust Janet without explanations.

Well done. Have you thought about being a relationship counsellor? ~grin~

I love the way you write Janet.
Thank you. I enjoy exploring what makes her tick.

I have no doubt the identity of JJ and her role in Janet's life would be addressed, but that night, that moment of deciding whether to try to work things out, just wasn't the time. I'm just glad that Janet had a friend that she could lean on. ;)

Wonderful story and great depecition of Janet and Sam.
Thank you. As much I enjoy writing Sam/Janet fluff, I enjoy digging into some drama and angst.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Although you're the first to describe angst as cute. *lol*

I appreciate you taking the time to read and comment. Oh, and I haven't forgotten your prompt. I'm still working on it. ;-)

Heh. Well, I guess it wasn't as dark as some things, but it's not exactly fluff. There's nothing wrong with a brain that works in mysterious ways - you're right, freedom is good! :D

Thanks. I'm glad you liked it.

I've never been to that area, but tried to do a little research so I picked a mountain that would actually have cabins on it. It seems so many of the ones I looked up were in National Parks and/or Wilderness Areas. I hope I didn't get it wrong by choosing Crested Butte above your home town. ;-)

nope, perfect get away place. awesome cabins in the area w/ very scenic views. also windy as hell during the summer not to mention chilly. i have but rarely ever used the word "hot" to describe the weather outside.
well researched not to mention, GO THERE! kick ass skiing

Jealousy and insecurity can destroy a relationship. Kudos to Janet for not putting up with it and not explaining who JJ was - it wasn't any of Sam's business, especially after the way she'd behaved.

I truly love the way you write Janet!

Yes, it can. I don't see Janet putting up with after having been thru a bad marriage.

I like writing Janet. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
