phone service ... in cyberspace!
well it looks like VoIP is about to get a lot cheaper to call from computer to phone. yahoo plans to realease thier version of it at 1 cent per minute, and 2 cents per minute for international calls (this is incredibly ridiculous). so, my 600 minute cell phone plan at $40 a month suddenly looks like crap next to my 600 minutes yahoo plan at $6 per month. wtg, internet.
along the same lines, google is introducing its version of VoIP. No plans for landline connection yet, but very cool. everything that has ever come out of google has been pretty solid code. im interested in seeing how many processes it uses, perhaps this might have application for online gaming.
in any case, communication with a beautiful girl in NYC will sure be easier :)
