Porcupine Tree song of the same name.
such_heights betaed this in its early stages. What it was is barely recognisable now, but this story never would have been told without her encouragement, so thank her, too! ♥
(
Travelling to nowhere -- it suspends Regulus in a safe cocoon spun from in-between places. )

I adore the complex ties you develop between Regulus and Sirius in such short order. Gah! Their fight, and how horrid James looks through Regulus's eyes. Oh, he loves Sirius so much it hurts. So good. He knows his brother's weak spots. Yes.
I also really like your use of the train metaphor. Regulus's life does hurtle like a train to it's terrible conclusion (in my mind) and the fact that he takes trains and doesn't know where they are going?? That is a beautiful symbol for his life.
I am thrilled with this, and will be pimping you properly for it. :)
I need a Regulus icon, like now.
Oh, and the Eliot is pure love.

Regulus, for me, never comes without Sirius; who he is and what he ends up as is inextricably connected with Sirius' story, whether he likes it or not. In any case. Thank you for your kind words. :* ♥

I love all three of them - the horror next to the mundane of the first one, the heartbreak of the second, and the crushing inevitability of the final segment. And throughout, all the little details that make Regulus so real, and the style and tone and feel of it all.

I am v. glad that the sections worked; I fought a bit with the placement and finally settled on doing it that way. You are too good to me. :*
