Prompt: Tonks talks about something other than Reeeeeeeeemus.
Word Count: 300
Warnings or notes: This is just a little something to tide you over until your author can post! I'm afraid I utterly failed at your prompt, cruisedirector, but I hope you like it anyway, as I've tried to channel your (and my) frustrations through Luna.

"I'm trying to convince Remus that it's a good idea to relocate to the country, but he insists on staying here, closer to 'the thick of things' he says. I could still Apparate to work, of course, and it would be so much more quiet and romantic away from the hustle and bustle."

Tonks was chatting animatedly with Luna Lovegood at the dinner following Bill and Fleur's wedding, shaded by one of the Burrow's many leafy trees. Her hand was fluttering alternately from her newly blonde curls to resting over her belly.

"You certainly talk about Professor Lupin a lot," Luna commented, meeting Tonks' eyes.

Tonks paused, nonplussed. "Well, he is my husband, you know. Didn't you hear?"

Luna nodded. "Oh yes. But surely you care about other things, too? My mum and dad were married for quite some time, and I never remember mum talking about dad quite the way you've been talking to me for the last -" she looked at her watch - "twenty minutes."

"Well, I reckon someday you might understand," Tonks continued, her tone slightly more cool.

"Perhaps," Luna mused. "I'm afraid there's quite a lot I don't understand about romantic relationships. For instance, I never would have guessed that Professor Lupin even fancied women. And I wouldn't have imagined that an up and coming Auror such as yourself doesn't have more to do than inspect the gold band on your finger and chat with me about domestic arrangements. What with the current state of affairs, and not to mention the rogue Nargles my father says are trying to infiltrate the Minister's office... I must still have a lot to learn about love."

Luna rose and drifted pensively away, leaving Tonks alone. Tonks frowned, checked her ring, and left the shade to go find Remus.
