Devil High was founded by a rich philanthropist and his wife, they say. They wish to be anonymous at this point, but the staff that have been here longest claim their names were Sparda and Eva. Apparently, the couple had had sons, but something happened early on to separate them, and the kids are missing now. So to fill the void their children had left, they decided to take on a couple thousand children -- you students!
Don't look so worried. This is straight from your student handbook. It's basically all factual, so you're not going to get in trouble for spreading rumors, especially not just for listening.
Anyway, I suppose their plan wasn't working out for them. They left, and put another man in charge. He hasn't been seen for quite some time. Come to think of it, I believe he went overseas -- or so the story goes -- right around the time Professor Vergil was hired. The professor is standing in for our missing principal until he returns.

Rumors say some of the staff aren't human, and that some of the students aren't, either. You might even hear stories about demons attacking.
