ABOUT
Welcome to dgray_exchange!
An exchange is basically a game of Secret Santa. Each person who signs up is assigned someone to make a gift for, but no one knows who exactly is making his/her gift. And then on the day of the exchange, everyone will get a wintery surprise!
Fanfics and fanarts are usually the main things in an exchange, but if you don't draw or write, keep in mind that fanworks is a WIDE field. For your exchangee, you could do a cover on a DGM song, make them a lovely photoshopp'd layout/personal collection of icons, take cosplay photos of their preferred pairing/scene, make sculptures and plushies, etc. XD Please participate if you can; the more the merrier! ♥
The gifts will be posted on Christmas day, which will make this year's Christmas extra special! Also happens to be the first winter exchange this community is holding.

HOW
1. Sign up over at this post by November 30 and put your wishlist up in this post. There is no deadline for the wishlist, but it's best you put it up as soon as possible.
2. On December 6, you will be randomly assigned person who has also signed up. We’ll send your assignment via email from [dgray_exchange@yahoo.com]. You should make this person a D.Gray-Man-related summer-themed gift of some sort, based on something they put on their wishlist. (as aforementioned: fanart, fanfics, photoshopped layout/icons, etc.)
3. Once you are finished with your gift, submit it to us at [dgray_exchange@yahoo.com]. A confirmation reply will be sent. If you don't receive one it means I didn't get your submission, so please resend it if that happens :3.
4. Everything is in SECRET--no one can reveal who they have or what they making until it's all posted, December 25. Everything will be put up atdgray_gifts.
5. It's up to you whether you want to remain secret about the gift you sent after they are posted. You could sign your name on the gift, tell your exchangee in a comment, not tell at all, etc.

RULES
1. The gifts must be based on D.Gray-Man, of course~ Your assignment will list summer themes/scenarios that they want, and you can incorporate just one or all of them, whatever you prefer :D!
2. It's best that you try to be tolerant to any type of pairings. We’ll probably choose an assignment based on what you put as your preference in Sign-Ups, BUT pairings can vary het, homo, incest, crack, canon, etc., so your favorite category cannot be 100% assured.
3. Sorry, but no explicit content! Nothing NC17 or anything like that; some of us are still minors and it’s nicer that the submissions are viewable to everyone.
4. Of course, please put some effort into the gift you make for your exchangee. Artists can neaten/color/etc, writers shouldn't just jot a quick drabble, et cetera. There's nothing to force you to do this, of course, but it'd certainly be nice :3
5. Please make the deadline, December 21! If you cannot make it, we strongly emphasize that you tell us ASAP so that we can arrange an adoption on time. Don’t be scared, we won’t get angry or anything XD We just need to make sure everyone ends up with a gift ♥!
