*He's staring at the penguin.* What in the world? *He comes closer and peeks into the freezer.* I've never seen anything like that. *Or that much ice. It just makes him stare more.*

*It's a large freezer. Enough so the Prinny can happily skate about, dodging the various frozen food products*

Me neither. I was just lookin' fer some ice cream. [Smiles] But I don't think I've seen ya 'round here before. [Holds out his hand] Hi, ya already know, but the name's Lavi, resident Exorcist and ball o' energy, yeah.

Ice cream? *He take the offered hand.* Allen, Ladder rat. How do they keep all this ice here? It'd be gone within five minute in the Waste.

[Both penguin and Lavi stare at Allen in shock] Ya've never had ice cream? *doooood* It's uh, technology and stuff, yeah. What is this "Waste" thing yer talkin' 'bout? And what's a ladder rat?

No, never. I've never even heard of it. The Waste is the Shir I live in. It's pretty much a big dessert. My family owns half of it, and runs all of it. *And now comes the tricky question.* Ladders are a type of permenant spell. It connects two places together. I hold knowledge of all the known Ladder pairs, and some of the ones that we don't have matches for yet. Hence the term Ladder rat.

Then ya gotta try ice cream. [Grabs Allen by the wrist and heads off down another hall] C'mon, there's gotta be a place this penguin hasn't ransacked yet.

*said Prinny is following them at a decent distance behind, pirouetting every now and again*

Ah, okay. *He allows himself to be dragged, attempting to remember all the twists and turns. Occasionally, he glances back atr the bird following them.*

Ya'll love it. I guarantee. [Leads him to the nearest kitchen and hopefully Prinny-less fridge]

*He just continues to follow you, now completely lost.*

[Finds a kitchen and starts pulling out carton after carton of ice cream] *Prinny snatches the Neapolitan*

Try it. See if ya like it. [Holds out a spoon to Allen]

*He takes the spoon, surveying the different colours of ice cream. He settles on one called butterscotch ripple and takes a spoonful. His eyes widen as the coldness touches his tounge.* Cold! And sweet! *He takes another spoonful, careful to take little bits so it doesn't feel so cold.* This would be amazing back home. If we could keep it cold.

[Tilts his head] Then whaddaya guys do fer electricity, or do ya not have any?

We don't have any. We use candles and gas lights, mostly. *He reaches blindly for another tub to taste. It says Black Cherry on the side.*
