One of the kitchens is missing a few chunks of its walls and black smoke pours thickly from the mutilated parts of structure. Inside is pure, charcoal chaos. [She jumps into the kitchen, and coughs waving at the smoke.] Wow, geez! What the heck happened in here?

[She walks over to Lenalee.] You ok?

Y-yeah... [COOOOOOUGH!!] At least, I-I will be...

[She resists the urge to laugh.] S'what happens when Tousan tries to cook... [She snorts.] Come on, we'll find another kitchen near by.

[yin_lianren]

[Still coughing, but manages to stand. It is rather humorous when one sits back and thinks about it.] There... are more? [She hasn't quite been here long enough to discover the others.]

Sure are! How else they gonna feed a whole hoard of Allens? [She winks. She'll lead her into another kitchen and grin.] This one looks safe enough. What happened back there anyway?

You have a point there. [She follows.]

Well, I was trying to make me some dinner. Considering I now have more free time to practice that sort of thing.

[She sighs.] I can't cook worth a damn and neither can my one godfather... Our Allen does the cookin'. Occasionally Uncle Komui.

But I guess practice makes perfect and all that jazz.

[FREEZE]

[Oh... forgot to mention that part to her...] Uh, yeah... [She looks away chuckling.] You see, I ain't a Lenalee... exactly. I'm, well, her daughter in my world.

[suddenly her face turns a very, very bright red and she looks away.] Oh. I see.

[She sighs.] Sorry for it comin' out so blunt and all... I gotta be more careful with what I say and stuff.

[yin_lianren]

No, no, no, no! It's quite all right, really. I mean, I've always wanted to have a little girl, never thought I could, so it's kind of shocking. But a good kind of shocking, you know? So, what's your name?

[rings_of_memory]

[She laughs a little.] Ya mean with Uncle being who he is and all? [She smiles.] Name's Shu Lin.

[yin_lianren]

That, and, well... [She suddenly brightens.] That's a very pretty name!

[She blushes a bit.] Thanks. People back home think it's strange soundin'...

But... [She looks concerned.] What else is stoppin ya? From having kids, I mean?

Oh, uh, nothing major. Just that, well, my body is put under a lot of strain and stress being an Exorcist and all. Also I couldn't afford to take the time needed in order to bear and have the child. And then.. what happens after she's born? Who's going to raise her while I'm gone fighting? The Order might not even let me keep her. There are lots of things like that to consider.
