*looks up and grins at him* Hey! *and one of the kittens heads right for him and starts trying to climb up his leg*

. . . [resisting the instinctive 'GETITOFF' reaction, instead watching it impassively] You've adopted kittens.

*scoops up the one that's gnawing on the hem of her jeans* Yep! Allen and I found them a while ago in one of the hallways here... they were all hungry and the mother couldn't find enough to eat.

And let me guess, you're trying to find them homes. [the kitten is now about halfway up his thigh, and those needle-sharp claws are bothering him- he plucks it off of his leg and holds it up to eye level, and it opens a mouth full of very sharp teeth to meow at him]

Well, that would be nice - they're going to keep growing, and they're going to run out of space in my room soon enough. *snuggles the kitten, which is now trying to chew her sweater sleeve*

*hides a giggle behind her hand* Great! She doesn't have a name yet, so you can name her whatever you like.

How does "pain in the ass" sound? [still glaring at the kitten, who seems equally unimpressed by him] It's not for me, anyway.

Oh? Who's it for, then? *gentle smile - she thinks she knows*

The moron next door. [looks at the kitten again- it's a calico]

Allen? I'm sure he'll love it!

Right. [the kitten yawns at him again] Che.

*giggles, distracted by the kitten she's holding trying to bite at her neck* Hey! You're a cat, not a vampire, silly thing.
