The Usual Routine.

As is his habit, Kanda stays awake until he's truly fatigued. As is his habit, he heads to hammer_echo's room to his spot on the floor when this happens. As is also his habit, he has a long distance to travel to get there, and searches for something interesting along the way to try staying awake just a little longer

[Maybe not so far-fetched. Lavi sits on top his bed, discovering the wonder of having his own thermos]

Hey, Yuu. Had a good day?

[kanda_da]

[Eh, fuck the coffee-idea. Kanda might as well get this over with and not waste any more of these two's time than he has to. He gives them both an almost nod, then drops to his place on the floor.]

[hammer_echo]

Ah ah ah. Wait a minute, Yuu. We have a surprise for Yuu today. [Griins from ear to ear as he slides of the bed and unties a blue balloon from a nearby chair]

[kanda_da]

[Kanda sighs. Lavi probably realizes by now that he can get away with all kinds of shit when Kanda is this tired.]

What the hell am I supposed to do with it?

[hammer_echo]

Is supposed t'help ya get a good night's sleep.

Uh, she only said ya had t'sleep with it next t'ya. [Sheepish grin] Ya wanna tie it 'round yer wrist or somethin'?

[kanda_da]

Whatever. Tie it to my fucking hair if that amuses you... [Kanda unlaces Mugen from his back, as is his habit. He's gotten way too good recently about remembering to draw overhand in his dreams. He grabs his shark and tosses himself onto the floor.]

[hammer_echo]

Yer sour mood's not gonna get t'me today. [Lifts one of Yuu's arms and ties the string of the balloon around the wrist] It wouldn't hurt t'be a little optimistic, yeah. I had to use all my my boyish charm to get this. [Griiins]

[kanda_da]

[So many conflicts at once... Pushing back the tiredness in the face of one more way to stay awake a little longer, Kanda finally sighs]

Tch. Probably shouldn't sleep with it tied up like this anyway...

[He pushes himself back up to a sitting position, then rolls his eyes a bit at the balloon dangling up off his arm.]

[Pats him on the shoulder] Don't complain. I coulda got ya a pink one. [Scoots over to let Allen do his magic]

[Kanda finds it very, very hard to pout while subjected to this treatment. He closes his eyes and calmly fights down a blush, with only partial success. He quickly forgets anything that might have been annoying him.]

[Thumbs up to Allen. In the meantime, Lavi goes back to the bed and starts fiddling with the thermos some more. He never even asked if Allen was a coffee drinker]
