[It's a peaceful day in the large courtyard. A hawk circles about low, an eye on a small group of snowshoe hares digging in the snow for food. What it doesn't realize however, is that it is also being watched closely, by something circling above it

[There's the sound of crunching snow not too far from her, then a nearby bush shaking, something trembling behind it]

*She perks up, listening to the rustling. It doesn't sound small enough to be a rabbit or another bird. Curious, she creeps up to the bush and peers behind it.*

[He's curled up fearfully behind it, knees to his chest. Shivering half from fear, and half from the fact he only wears a hospital gown and bandages wrapping one leg]

*gasps lightly when she spots him* Oh, you poor thing! You can't stay out here in the cold like this. We have to bring you back inside right away. *slowly, she reaches for him, smelling his fear.* I'm not going to hurt you, I promise.

[Clapping off to the side] Nice one there, Lenalee!

Hey, Lavi! And thank you. I haven't actually done any hunting since I've been here, so I'm glad that I haven't lost my touch.

Haha! Nope, ya still got it.

[Scratches his head] But yanno, there's meat in one of those freezer things if ya really wanted it.

*nods* Fresh kill is better, I think. That, and I'm afraid I've been slacking lately. *What with knitting Kanda-kin's present and then making deals with grumpy full-blood dragons, she hasn't been able to get her flying or fighting training in like she used to.*

[Allen is just walking by when decides to look up.]

*It's another human Allen!* Hi, Allen! *She lands beside him, and pops the hawk in the basket* How are you today?

[Lenalee flying around isn't that unusual to Allen. Lacking the dark boots, though, and sprouting a pair of wings is.]

Yes? *tilts her head at him and smiles, showing tiny fangs* I take it you've never met one of my kind before?

[Oh my, is that a horse trotting into the courtyard...]

*spots the horse and crouches low behind a bush, making sure she's downwind from it. Perfect. That horse could feed them for the next few days. Allen wouldn't have to worry about dinner and have plenty of time to heal up. Her muscles tense, preparing to spring...*

[chasethe_wind]

[the horse sneezes as it sniffs in the snow for something. Hooves pawing at the ground.]

[dragonthyst]

*She stiffens again when the horse moves, but it doesn't seem like it realizes she's there. She waits for another moment, then lunges forward, her wings carrying her across the courtyard as she readies to grab the beast and bring it down.*
