[Mama is in the kitchen, an apron tied around her waist with all sorts of ingredients and dishes strewn on the counters and a cookbook open next to her. The twins are asleep in their baby carriage just across the room. She rolls her sleeves to her elbows, a determined expression on her face.]

*Just be glad she didn't have the chef's knife in her hands. It could've ended messy. She gives him a light punch in the shoulder.* Then don't go sneaking up on people like that.

Kanda walks into the kitchen, sparing a brief glance for Lenalee before he starts rummaging through the cabinets. Muttering to himself and disappointed in what he finds, Kanda shuts the cabinet, only to notice the twins that were hidden by the door. He startles briefly, and looks puzzled. Slowly, he looks back at Lenalee with a weird, warm, half-smile on his face.

"Uh, can they even eat reg'lar food when they're so small?" Kanda backs slowly away from the twins, and stumbles briefly against a counter.

[ooc: He's a little tipsy, but seems harmless enough]

Of course not. But I very well can't leave them in the room by themselves. And they're too young to be watched by another for very long. *she usually only lets a friend watch them for an hour or two a day while she's training.*
