[Lavi made a list, checked it twice. Though he really didn't care about the naughty or nice part. Why should they be denied the joy of Christmas ( Read more... )

I do believe you need applause for actually finding a store which you can rob. Though I do believe a black mask is more preferable to the red hat you are wearing.

Storage room, not store.

[Grinning from ear to ear]

But can you hold this for a minute?

[Shoving said giant bag in Tyki's face]

If you insist.

[Takes the bag by reflex really. Whipped from years of living with Road.]

[Dives into, half buried as he tries to find Tyki's present among the masses]

I hope you didn't want a serious gift.

Depends on what you mean by serious. And gift.

And I must admit, I am surprised.

[It is shaped like a bottle, hastily wrapped and tied with a big sparkly rainbow bow]

[CAN TYKI GUESS WHAT IT IS?]

Why? Do you not believe in Christmas?

[He laughs at seeing it. Not a mocking sort of one, but an amused.]

You'll have to share a toast with me then.

And I do believe in Christmas, but I tend to be happy with the coal I receive. It keeps the heat in the room at a desirable temperature.

I don't think you want to see me tipsy or buzzed or drunk. Every drink just makes me louder and louder.

[But handing Tyki the bottle over anyway. It is supposedly a fine whiskey according to the books Lavi had read]

Come now. Since when was I ever worried about louder?

[He takes it with a tip of his hat.]

And I already guessed you were a cheap date, eye patch.

I'm so cheap I might as well be made of plastic. But at least I have a lot of entertaining stories to tell.

Like the Kitchen Knife in pink who was the cheeriest person I have ever met in my life. I think she was before your time, and I don't get to say that often around you.

I imagine your stories would be quite entertaining. You never took me for the most objective Bookman.

[He laughs at that.] And how long were you here before I?

Not a Bookman. That was Junior's job and look where it got him. I think I might resign when I get home.

[Tilts his head to the side] I dunno the exact date you got here, but I was pretty sure the Dressing Room was nice and quiet and Tyki-free when I first arrived.

Probably for the best. You seem to enjoy wandering about life with more than a pen to write things down with.

How wonderful a day that must of been. Unless, of course, you had more delightful Noah to occupy your time.

Not really. I've notice that's been a distinct lack of Noah in the Dressing Room lately. Either that, or you're making some sort of fort down South in case the apocalypse comes.

I'd like to think it was the latter, but alas.

It looks like the remaining will have to strive hard to make trouble for the rest of you.

Oh it seems we are pretty good at keeping ourselves in trouble.

[Nudges in the side]

Or perhaps its because we are domesticating the lot of you. The few Noah I've seen have been settling down quite nicely into little families.

Come now. When are you going to get a new Pumpkin?
