[It's the holiday season, a time of love and affection, sharing and caring. The mistletoe already has the former down, but what about the latter? It's time to open up, citizens of the DR, and show your true self to your friends.
That is why you are now trapped in a room full of televisions.]

That's Queen's curse. I took it as a penalty for a game... It's gone now.

Penalty for what?

...Every team was given a list of options, penalties to send to another team for points. If you got enough points you could buy a barrier to protect yourselves. That was the point, to try and get everyone playing the high cards and causing the most damage to each other. Some games are just like that, Lavi.

Persephone.

[Not excusing her actions or agreeing with them, but no judging her for her choices either. There wasn't any point. There were people in his own life that he wanted to protect, would do horrible things if it meant protecting them]

...There is an understanding in Sabra la Tau. Games require you to kill, and self sacrifice or refusing to play is rewarded with the Judges killing your own team. What happens in games... People get angry, and fight back, but very few teams carry those grudges outside of games. We do what we need to survive. Everyone knows that.
It's not the same here. People still have their morality. But I will do whatever it takes to keep the people I love safe.

You do what you have to do protect them. And no one standing on the outside of your situation looking in should judge you for that.
