[A far cry from the horror happening in one hall, there's an odd sight in another. A very pregnant female Lavi waddling down the hall with her hand on the wall for balance, dressed in a hospital gown.

She stops and leans against the wall, panting softly as she looks back over her shoulder.]

[She looks up at Lavi, smiling a little and wrapping an arm around him in return.]

've just been walking for an hour, I was bound to lose it eventually. But 'd like that.

[Don't do that, Lavi. Girl is very hefty right now, just balance her as she uses the wall for support.]

Just my legs, contractions haven't started yet. Didn't want tha doctors to induce labor with medicine.

[The wheels turn briefly in his head. Can he carry a fully pregnant (and soon to be in labor) woman bridal style without screwing something up? Probably not. So he'll be good. Just offering her support as they continue walking]

They can induce labor? [Pardon him. He knows pretty much nothing about the wonders of childbirth]

Sure I shouldn't be carrying you or something?

[Do not attempt. You will break your back. Probably literally. Support is good enough.]

Medicine, but I didn't want ta try it. [Neither did she really.

She laughs lightly.] Don't think Allen'd forgive me for hurtin your poor back, Lavi. I'll be fine.

Oh, you worry too much, yeah. I'm sure if I asked the Dressing Room nicely enough, it would get me a new back for Christmas anyway.

[Peering down one hallway after another, trying to get his bearings enough so that he pinpoint where exactly the infirmary off and went to. Such bad timing it had]

Just for curiosity's sake, how much time do you think you have before we will need to call a doctor immediately?

I wouldn't be able ta forgive myself for it though, even if you said it was fine. [Huff.]

Contractions haven't started yet so 'm probably fine for a while yet.

[Taking a few more turns, confident that he's getting back to the clinic at least. They will probably be able to direct things from there]

[Oh let's hope that the local medical network is well connected. Lavi really only knows of the one clinic]

[Oh, that is probably not a good sign. Well, it is, but ALL THE FLAILING as Lavi tries to get Mattias to the nearest nurse]

I'll find Cross and your brothers, yeah. Why don't you get all settled in?

[It's the first one so she's still got a while to go yet, the walking did end up triggering her labor. She's got a death grip on his hand too.]

Stay. [A slight hiss as a nurse comes to help.] Tease went ta get Cross and the others. At least until Cross gets here?

[Death grip get! Yeah, Lavi's not going anywhere. ... Especially after she asks him to stay. But- but, Mattias. He is probably not the one you want at your bedside during this momentous occasion. She needs someone strong and level-headed]

[Lavi has never been either of those things]

[And Lavi will follow Mattias in whatever direction she or the nurses want to pull him]

[Cross will take Lavi's place soon enough, don't worry. She just doesn't want to be alone right now. Then he can wait in the waiting room with Spy and Star if he likes.

She smiles up at him as she's put into a bed.] Thank you, Lavi.
