She's been gone for some time now. Over three months, actually. She doesn't seem bothered by that fact, though. She arrives in a quiet manner. One minute there's an empty hall and the next she's standing there. She's drenched. She looks around in surprise and blinks. Oh, so she's finally back here

[Insta-glued. TV is the worst for him. He can't seem to tear his eyes from the flickering screen.]

[She glances back at the TV.] I don't know. I saw the moving pictures on the screen and stopped to watch. Now I can't look away. [Mostly because she's scared but she'd never admit to that.]

[Doesn't even ask before he plops down on the couch looking for the thing that changes the channel.]
It will melt your brain, you know.

Melt my brain? Will the statues eat me before or after they melt my brain? [She hopes after. She watches him curiously. The remote is next to her but she has no idea what it is.]

[He takes the nearest couch cushion and throws it at the screen. It bounces off with little to no fanfare.] It's like a book. A moving one, you know.
Reply
[She blinks when the couch cushion hits the TV. She gives a small giggle.] A moving book. So the magic moving picture box doesn't predict the future? [She tugs the towel back, looking at him expectantly. He apparently knows a lot about it.]
Reply
[He knows zero about it. He's just good at lying.] Not anymore than a normal book does, no. Satisfied?

That's good. [She doesn't like the idea of statues coming to life. She nods.] Yes.
How have you been since I was gone? And what tricks of this place did I miss?

You could always sleep with a knife under your pillow if you are afraid.
Peachy. If one can use the term. [He kicks up his heels on the table.] But the usual. Killed a few Exorcists. Fought a few dragons. Did the Boss's work. Is any of that surprising.
Reply
I'm not scared. [Forever in denial.] Oh, whatever happened to that thing I gave you? Did you destroy it? [She's talking about the innocence sword.]
Peachy seems like a reasonably term. [She tucks her legs underneath her.] Did you have fun killing the Exorcists? [She won't fault him on having done it. Unless one was Allen. That's different.] Dragons? I thought you only told stories about Sphinxes.

Ah.... [He looks up at the ceiling.] You know, I have to remember where I put it. I went home after all. Lost track of some of my things.
Honestly? Not particularly. I'd enjoy it more if they stayed dead. [He gives her a grin.] I can't pull a fast one on you, can I? You've heard the stories before. Looks like I'll have to come up with new ones.
Reply
Eh, well do whatever you want with it. I gave it to you to keep after all. [She does blink at him, though.] You went home?
It's too bad that they don't. But you shouldn't wish it on them. After all, I met you right after you died. You'd probably die again if they stayed dead. And I hardly think you're life is equal to a few Exorcists. [Not flattery, really. She still doesn't think highly of Exorcists. She does smile in return though.] Probably.

No desire for it back? ... ... Yes. Dreary place. Desperate need of redecorating.
... ... [She is talking circles around him today.] My, my, you've gotten a sharper tongue since we last met. Or perhaps it has just faded from memory. But don't get me wrong, I am enjoying it. And how was your own trip home?
Reply
No, none at all. [She shrugs absently. To her, it wasn't hers to begin with.] You don't seem like the upholstery and wall paper type. What kind of redecorating would you do?
[She does that sometimes. Take no mind of it.] It's been nearly two years since I left here. A sharper tongue was needed. [She gives a soft chuckle of amusement.] Ah, the usual. Rescuing damsels, starting riots. Becoming the leader of a rebellion. [And yes, she is taking a note from him.] It was mostly entertaining. I did hear a bit of bad news, but so far it's unofficial.

Two years? My, how the time does fly. ... Well I suppose all those rescued damsels need to be put to good use. Why not start a rebellion with them. I'm sure the other side wasn't suspecting that move.
Bad news? Don't tell me they've decided to outlaw the circus. Where will the cheating boy retire to if that were the case?
Reply
[She gives a humorless chuckle at that. Hes actually not too far off. Though less damsels than he'd think.] Yes, that would surprise them wouldn't it?
No they haven't outlawed the circus. [Her small smile drops at the mention of Allen, though.] Considering he's rumored to be dead, I sincerely doubt my father's worrying about retirement.
