*There's a cluttered workroom with the door ajar and sounds coming out of it that can only mean one thing: Komui is hard at work building something terrifyingly horrible wonderfully helpful

[Oh, she's torn. On one hand... she knows that no good can come from this. On another hand, she's happy to see him acting like himself again. It thrills her, and warms her heart. Bringing up a happiness within her that she thought was long gone.]
*...He jumps a little at the sound of her voice, then tries to hide it by taking a step back. As much as he loves her company, there's a reason this workroom is a good few rooms away from the apartment. He pulls the mask up over his head.*
H-hey, Lenalee! Um, it's nothing much, really. Just a little project I've been thinking about for awhile. How are you doing?
*He's confused. She looks way too...happy right now for having caught him building a robot. He's not sure what's going on, but he thinks he likes it.*
Well, it's...it's just for mainly analysis and things. You know, like chemical experiments. It's completely safe, though. And I feel, uh, pretty good.
*And then it hits him. She's just happy he's doing something other than lying around being depressed. Well shit. He doesn't know how to feel now. He's lowered her standards so much that she's happy when he's building robots.*
[She's watching him, though. Don't think she's taking her eyes off of the potentially disastrous hunk of future robot. But she is glad. But still in a very conflicted way.]
That sounds useful enough... But will it be reliable? [More reliable than the rest, she means.]
Yeah, it will. I think this is gonna be the one that really does what I want it to. I've got it all worked out.
*He gestures vaguely at all the papers on his desk. Nevermind the fact that he goes through robots like some people go through boyfriends; every single one is "the one." You can't deny he's got a bit of a smile on his face, which is a bit more than there's been in a long time.*
Hmm. We'll see. I hope it's a success, though. [She's not holding out for much hope, but there's that part of her that really, really wants it to behave. Not because of what damage might be done, but just so this one is the one.]
...Well thanks. *He rests a hand on a cooler part of the robot's metal, looking down at it.* I hope so too.
*He won't say it, but now he's sort of nervous. Now he has to make the robot perfect. Lenalee is expecting it! He's put her through so much trouble; the least he can do is make a robot that doesn't fuck up and cause even more trouble.
And as if to say there's a (slight) chance he'll succeed, Stanley the cleaning bot whirs over next to Lenalee and attempts to wipe off her shoes.*
*Surprisingly, nothing goes wrong (perhaps because Komui built this one with the help of a Bak). The bot finishes and then zooms off to tidy up some papers on Komui's desk. Lenalee might notice that, cluttered as the room is, the floors are about as clean as can be.*
Does it? ...I have sort of been working extra hard on this one. I haven't built one in a long time, though, and there are still a few kinks to work out.
*He pauses, realizing how that might have sounded.* Nothing big or potentially life-threatening, of course!
No, not exactly. I'm just curious, though. Maybe it's time I started paying more attention to the projects you have. [She's kind of feeling guilty at the moment.]
Brother? What are you making this time?

It does! It's impressive so far... And good. I'm glad they're small kinks.

Is this your only project at the moment?

It's my only one for right now. *He attempts a modest shrug.* Figured I wouldn't start out too ambitious.
Why, you think I should start another one?

You don't need to pay attention to them! I've got it all under control.
