[Miranda is leaning heavily against a wall, a playing card clutched carefully, tightly in her hand. Her eyes are screwed shut, and occasionally she releases a shivering, shuddering breath to fight back tears.]

[She releases a shuddering breath, eyes still tightly shut.]

I'm fine.

So you say. I suppose I should just take your word for it, then. [He leans against the wall near her, not walking away.]

[She nods again, slowly opening her eyes before taking his hand and tugging him towards the doorway of her room.]

Let's go somewhere else.

[He'll allow himself to be pulled, although it's not necessary really. He would have followed in the end.]

Fine with me.

[She's feeling handsy at the moment, and this should be more than obvious when as soon as they're in the room and the door is closed, she tugs him into a demanding kiss.]

[He returns it, fingers of one hand tangling into her hair.]

[It's not long before she's pushed him up against the wall, sliding a hand up his shirt and deepening the kiss. She doesn't want to talk, she just wants to feel someone against her and know she's not entirely alone.]

[And that suits him just fine. He likes Miranda, he really does. But he's hardly good at being comforting. It just doesn't suit him at all. So he's fine with gripping her hip with his free hand, and keeping the kiss going.

He's much better with physical comforts.]

[Miranda eventually breaks the kiss to bite down hard along his neck, impatiently prying open the buttons of his shirt to give her better access.]

[The bite spurs him on, and he phases out of his shirt to cut out some of that pesky material between them. And he's sliding his hand down, fingers pressing through the material of her clothes for a better feel of her skin.]
