[Kanda is presently occupying one of the neutral sitting rooms, on one of the couches. His his lap is a wododen box, old and weathered with some vines sticking too it and the hinges and clasp rusted over.  It's roughly jewelry box sized

[She's just going to stand there and watch him wrestle with the box for a minute.] ...having issues?

I can get it. [He just might need to go get something to open it with]

...If you're sure. [She doesn't sound sure but she doesn't offer to help either. He's a Kanda. He'll ask if he needs help. Or not. She goes back to watching silently.]

[Hums. He'll just start fiddling with the clasp, attempting to break it free despite the rust.

... Glances back to her]

[She takes that look as her cue.] ...Need help?

I was just wondering what you were still standing there for. [He didn't see any reason to linger besides help he claimed he didn't need]

[yuu_chan_kanda]

...There's nothing better to do. You're entertaining to watch. [She doesn't seem to care that he's probably glaring at her. She leans against the wall and continues watching him.]

[More confused than irritated, so no glare. He does frown at the entertaining bit though. He's not here to be watched to kill the time, he's here to sate his curiosity]

It can't be that hard to find something better to do here.

[A shrug.] Probably not. You're the probably the second Kanda I've met though. I'm going to stick around a bit longer. [She watches him, probably looking at her, for a minute.] Well? Are you going to open it? [She's a bit...fiesty?]

[Frowns a little more at her insistence. It's not making him want to go back to the box any faster]

What's it matter if I'm only the second one?

Cause I want to get to know all the aspects of the different Kandas. That way I can understand my father better. [A shrug. Like she hadn't said something shocking.]

[She stares at the box, she's getting curious now.] If you're not going to open it, can I?

[... Wait. Did he just hear her right] Father?

You are going to what? [She's staring at the box. What's in it? She's starting to get really curious now.]

[She glances up.] What's the matter?

[flowercomplex]

[He's never met a child of a version of himself, that's what. Or at least, that he was actually aware was a child of "his". They're like clones, he can't tell.

Stares for a moment more before turning his back to her again] Nothing.

[She shrugs. It doesn't seem like nothing to her but she doesn't press the issue.] Well, are you going to open it or not? I can open it for you if you don't want to. [She's much more interested in getting back to the task at hand rather than question him.]
